Daft for Advert 2

Image
he and the numbers for the channel will be across the top of the advertisement and just below will be just the website address for the cannel so the audience would be able to get more information on the channel and if it is on any other networks. This draft of another layout idea for the advertisements would feature the channels whole name and not just the logo, however the logo will still appear on this draft but quite small and in one of the top corners of the advertisement. The font will still be a shade of read and will use the same font that the channel numbers have to keep with the brand/theme of the advertisement. This will help for audiences to easily recognise between the 4 advertisements what the channel is and what the main genre of it is too. The social media pages for the channel will be placed along the bottom half of the advertisement so audiences will easily be able to find out more on the channel.

Draft for Advert 1

Image
The networks that the channel will  be available on will go down the side of  the advertisement, along with the channel  number that it is for each network.                                         (Main Image that covers the whole page of the  advertisement. Will edit to look more fitting to the genre of the channel) Just above the tag line of the channel I will intend to put a website address and a few social media platforms that the channel would be available on to engage the audience further. Tag Line for the channel varies throughout my advertisements so will be placed in different areas throughout the four advertisements. This tag line for the channel will be in a bright colour (most likely red) and it will say ‘watch if you dare…) this will help to intrigue the target audience for the channel and make them what to go to the channel or its website to look f...

Supporting Evidence Document

Image
SUPPORTING EVIDENCE DOCUMENT Prototype 1 The main colour scheme that I have used in this prototype is red and black which is stereotypical in the genre of horror. I chose his colour scheme as I feel that audiences in the magazine will immediately recognise the red and black on the poster and know that it is an advertisement for a horror channel. The colour reds main connotations are danger and evil, which is very relevant in the horror genre and by using black as well, it helps to signify the idea of the unknown and once again danger. I have chosen to only use one main font throughout the advertisement as it will give an audience an easy way to tell that the 4 advertisements are for the same channel. By using a bold font and making it red I believe that this will help to grab the primary audience’s attention to look into the channel. I have alternated between making the font its usual size and bold, for example I made the main channel name bold to grab attention when in the maga...

Statement of Intent

MEDIA STATEMENT OF INTENT   Media Institutions In my advertisements for the horror channel, I will stick to the rules that have been created by the ASA to put across a well-received advertisement. Some of these rules created include, to respect the principles of fair competition generally accepted in business, and that advertisements should be legal, decent, honest and truthful. To incorporate these into my advertisement I will present the clear information on the advertisement along with complying to the other rules that have been created by the ASA. the average cost of advertising a full page in a magazine is £ 184,837 which is able to create a bigger revenue for the magazine giving the different companies the opportunities to advertise in their magazine. Magazines with certain genres such as, entertainment magazines will mainly advertise companies who are in the entertainment industry to appeal to the audience’s who are interested in TV and movies, which will be able to cre...

Target Audience Analysis and Data

TARGET AUDIENCE ANALYSIS AND DATA AGE TARGET AUDIENCE FOR MY HORROR CHANNEL: 16-25 Primary Target Audience The stereotype of a horror fan would be a working/middle class male aged 18-20 who may also be interested in gaming too. They also may be a part of the binging community where fans of certain franchises of shows watch the movies or episodes one after the other. This type of group is most likely to use streaming platforms for watching their movies or shows or aim to watch a tv channel focus on one genre, which in this case would be horror.   There is also another social group that could link to the horror channel and its advertisement and it is the group of 16-24-year old's who are ad-receptive and can be easily taken by the advertisements that they see in tv or magazines. This also contributes to the fact that they prefer to watch their content on the tv as it airs and this helps them to get the full experience, especially when watching movies. As the primary t...
